    Hi,

I recently found a reference to Opening Acts and downloaded it from Smashwords. I think it is a brilliant idea; an innovative solution to promoting books and authors. I’m a compulsive reader and it is always a great pleasure to find an author new to me to help feed my addiction and this seems an excellent way of doing that.

So I went through the sample chapters and picked out half a dozen books that I thought I’d like to read. One of them was your novel The Dread Hammer and I was delighted to find that I could buy it as an ebook from Amazon as I no longer buy paper books. I should explain that I was so pleased because I live in the UK and I often find that I can’t buy Kindle books because the author has only licenced the ebook rights in the US & Canada, and it is not available to customers from the UK.

So thank you very much for being more farsighted than some of your colleagues and letting me buy your book.

Thanks very much for trying out The Dread Hammer. I’m trying to make the book as widely available as possible, and since I control the licensing, that’s fairly easy. A friend of mine had a book out recently from her American publisher, but she held on to UK ebook rights and published it herself in the UK, which I think you’ll see more often in the future.
