The Trials - Saga Press edition I’m on the road heading to Worldcon, but I can’t let today pass without posting that The TRIALS is now out! It’s available in hardcover, mass market paperback, eBook, and audio book editions.

Click here for links to online vendors.

Here’s a link to the audio book at Amazon.

OK then. Spent my last Audible credit on The Trials.

I’ll get to it as soon as I finish re-reading The Red. (Just based on casual reading, I don’t see much difference between the old and new versions of The Red.)

Thanks Clyde! The differences are minor, for sure. If you’re curious, I talk about the changes near the end of this post: http://farbeyondreality.com/2015/07/07/guest-post-by-linda-nagata-the-red/

I’ve been a bit behind the curve, but following Sasquan I got myself a copy of “The Red”. Seventy pages in I put the book down and headed back to Powell’s for “The Trials” (better safe than out of stock). Now I have both of those to finish and “Going Dark” headed my way. If there’s a roster, please add another very happy camper to it.

    Thanks Tom! Much appreciated. 🙂

Out of curiosity, did Powell’s have many copies of either book?

  5. Tom Anatin Says:

Linda, Powell’s had several copies (roughly a half-dozen or so) of each on the main shelves. I didn’t check the upper, “excess” shelves, where there would possibly be more. In addition, I’d estimate three or four copies of each The Red and The Trials currently occupy spots in the nicely visible shelf-end new book display.

My paranoia over getting The Trials was based on a case of “must-have-now” syndrome intensified by the fact that Powell’s is a busy place and the SF section is a very busy place. In a more rational mood (with a copy safely on my shelf), I would have estimated that neither title would be running out in the short term. Should I notice that happening, I’ll drop you a line.

Tom, thanks! I asked because I’m trying to get an idea of what the distribution is like. Often a store will order only a couple of copies of a new book, and not restock. But it sounds as if Powell’s has ordered a nice number of copies, and that they’ve restocked on The Red–which is good!
