A Book in French

January 26th, 2007

Good news from my agent, Howard Morhaim. LIMIT OF VISION has just been purchased for translation by the French publisher Bragelonne — which makes it my first sale in France. There is also a German version of this book which has been available for a few years, with an interesting title, as you can see from the cover…

So interesting to learn that the book is translated into European languages. I wonder what readers of Vietnamese or Chinese would think of your novel(s), should it be translated into those two, or other Asian, languages. Are there any plans to do so?

I see that 3 of your previous works have been translated into Japanese, will any of your other (or future) ones be published by Hayakama too?

  3. Linda Says:

    Hi Greta,
Yes, two novels (The Bohr Maker & Deception Well) have been translated into Japanese, along with one short story. There are no current plans for any more translations — though I would like to see Vast translated someday. It’s always exciting to have a work published in another language — I would be thrilled to see something of mine appear in Vietnamese or Chinese, though I think such things must be rare.
