Deception Well–Back in Print
August 5th, 2011Look what came yesterday:
That’s the proof copy of the new Mythic Island Press LLC print edition of Deception Well, next to The Bohr Maker. Both enjoy Bruce Jensen’s terrific cover art.
I’ll look at the proof in more detail later today, but so far, it looks good, which means that Barnes & Noble, at least, should have it available online by next week. Amazon is more problematical, but that’s for another blog post.
It’s not at all clear that the time, money, and effort spent to put The Nanotech Succession books back into print will prove financially worthwhile, but it’s definitely emotionally satisfying. Vast will be next, likely as a September book.

_VAST_ rates really high on my scale; I’ve got two copies (yellow spine, red stripe top-front, blue dominates the front cover) now, will definitely be interested.

Will the print editions be available in the UK?

Thanks for asking–yes indeed! They’re at Amazon UK. They may be at other online vendors, but I’m not sure.
For anyone in Australia, the best price and availability I’ve seen is at Booktopia, though I don’t know anything else about this vendor.
Vast will be out in a week or two. My second next project this morning is to take a thorough look at the new proof, and make sure it’s good to go. After that, and assuming no flagrant errors in the proof, it’s just a matter of how long the record takes to work its way through the system.
If all goes well, Tech-Heaven will be an October book.
